Welcome to the USG Chemnitz e.V.! As part of the European Capital of Culture 2025, we cordially invite both guests and club members to get active in sports. Whether you want to get to know a new sport or spend your stay in Chemnitz in a sporty community - you will find the right offer with us.

This is how it works:
Simply select your favorite sport and register directly via the button - or let the “sports wheel of fortune” decide for you and discover a new challenge in a fun way!

The following sports are currently available:

Dodgeball - A fast-paced reaction game with wit and tactics. Two teams try to throw balls at each other. Whoever gets hit is eliminated - but it's not unusual for a clever move to turn the game around!

Handball - a dynamic team sport with speed and precision. The aim is to get the ball into the opponent's goal with fast passing. The focus is on fairness, team spirit and stamina.

Orienteering - The mix of sport and brains: With a map and compass, you make your way through a park, forest or urban area. Who can find the checkpoints the fastest? Perfect for anyone who wants to combine nature and a challenge.

Rugby - Powerful, fast and surprisingly fair. This physical team sport thrives on cohesion, strategy and respect - an intense experience for body and mind.

Chess – Putting your opponent en passant under pressure, keeping them in check with a castling move? These are all facets of a sport that focuses on mental strength. The ‘game of kings’ has fascinated strategy enthusiasts for centuries.

Gymnastics – Strength, speed, endurance, fine motor skills and holistic body control. Gymnastics presents challenges, but also tremendous endorphin releases once you discover what your body is capable of.

Boxing – A versatile martial art that combines strength, endurance and technique. Training challenges both body and mind in equal measure – from coordination to concentration. Discipline, fairness and respect are at the heart of joint training sessions.
