Handball

Welcome to the handball department of the Chemnitz University Sports Association! Here you will find information about our teams , training times , current news , events and sponsors .

The women's team and the first men's team of USG Handball will play in the district league in the 2022/23 season, the highest division in the Chemnitz district of the Handball Association of Saxony eV. The second men's team , which acts as a "reserve" for the first team and as a "sparring partner" in joint training sessions, is playing the current season in the district class East division of the Chemnitz district. Our referees are currently in charge of game operations from district level up to association level. Without active game operations but with weekly "handball" training, the oldies in our USG family also take part.

Students and employees of the Chemnitz University of Technology have always made up the majority of our teams. But many people from outside the university are also enthusiastic about handball in the university sports community, where teammates become friends.

We are always looking for new players, referees and sponsors. If you are new in town or just want to play handball again, then come along to a trial training session . You will quickly find that it is very easy to make friends with us!
