Sea sports

license for pleasure boats

As part of club sports, we are able to provide you with the following sports boat licenses at low cost:

• inland motor
• inland sailing
• lake
• Sport Coastal Skipper License (SKS)
• combinations of these notes
• radio training (SRC and UBI)

The training is both theoretical and practical and, depending on the course, includes the following topics:

• legal studies
• seamanship
• navigation
• Motorboat and Sailing Theory
• Motorboat Practice
• Sailing Practice

radio licenses

The USG Seesportclub Chemnitz also offers an annual course for the SRC radio license (sea) and one for the UBI radio license (inland). The Short Range Certificate is required for operating a boat with a VHF radio in German coastal waters. However, the course is generally recommended for all sea sports enthusiasts, as we discuss the global maritime rescue system GMDSS here. The knowledge can be life-saving in an emergency at sea, whether in the Baltic Sea, the Atlantic or the Mediterranean.
